Dr. Ahmad Murtaza



Dr. Ahmad Murtaza has been working as a consultant radiologist for the last ten years. He has been trained in Pakistan as well as Canada and also worked as consultant at King Saud university Riyadh where he helped develop fellowship programme in abdominal imaging. He is a European Board certified radiologist with subspecialty training in abdominal imaging and PET-CT. he also worked as department head of radiology at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre Lahore. Dr. Murtaza is in good standing with College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, European Board of Radiology and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

Consultant Radiologist: The Diagnostic Centre – Aznostics Lahore. March 2016 to date. A state of the art private practice with busy diagnostic and intervention work along with teleradiology services.

Consultant Radiologist: Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Lahore. July 2017 to December 2017. Cross sectional, conventional and ultrasound imaging besides non vascular intervention.

Consultant Radiologist: King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. January 2015 to January 2016 as a full time consultant radiologist at King Saud University ( comprising King Khalid and King Abdelaziz University hospitals) in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

Consultant Radiologist: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore, Pakistan.

July 2012-January 2015. Served as clinical lead/department head, during tenure developed breast imaging unit establishing only site in Pakistan capable of MRI guided breast biopsy. Successfully updated the angio/interventional suite and acquired dedicated multi-slice CT for interventional procedures separate from diagnostic CT facility. Refurbished Shaukat Khanum Diagnostic Centre, Jail road Lahore with new open MRI.
